Pre-purchase tickets for concessions, game booths, and teacher raffles via PayPal and skip those long lines!

Tickets to FFN activities will be online this year and you may pick up your tickets at Will Call on October 26. All games, activities, and food/drink concessions may be purchased with tickets only. Most items or games will cost between 2-5 tickets.

Price:
Concession/Game Tickets: 5 tickets for $5, 10 tickets for $10, and 25 tickets for $20.
Teacher Raffle Tickets: $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20.
In the Shopping Cart page you can specify the quantity of each item you are purchasing.

Children and families may use tickets to purchase concessions (such as hot dogs, candy, snacks), cotton candy, popcorn, drinks, baked goods from Raise the Bar. Carnival game/activity booths this year include Balloon Artists, Face Painters, Game Trucks, Carnival Games with Prizes, Stilt Walkers, DJ and more!!

Based on past experience, 25-40 tickets per child is probably enough for a fun afternoon. You will also be able to buy more tickets onsite.

What are Teacher Raffle Tickets? Our wonderful Vista Verde teachers and staff have generously donated special experiences to the lucky winners in each grade (grades K-5). A few special winners will also get to be Principal For A Day or have lunch with our Assistant Principal. Each student in K-5 will receive one free raffle ticket to enter the raffle, but buying more tickets means more chances to win! Past examples of teacher raffle prizes include a Lunch Date at Ruby’s Diner and a Book from our Kindergarten Team or Popcorn, Popsicles, and Pictionary! with our Third Grade Team. More information about teacher raffle prizes to come!

Keep your PayPal receipt. You can pick up your pre-purchased tickets at our Will Call table on October 26 starting at 3:15 PM. The event is from 3:30-6:30PM.

Congratulations to VV Mathletics

Congratulations to the Vista Verde Mathletes who participated in the Mathleague competition this past weekend. Over 30 Vista Verde students came out to compete with 140 students from the area.

Special kudos to the students who placed and/or qualified to compete in the next Mathleague level.

Reflections Art Program – Thank You for Your Masterpiece

Thank you to all the students who took their time to create and participate in this year’s Reflections art program, “Heroes Around Me!” We are in awe of their creativity and enormous talent to take a theme and let their imagination and observations do the talking!

Submissions were due yesterday and judging will occur early next week. If your student submitted a piece of artwork, you should be receiving a confirmation by Saturday.

*** You may also receive an email if the submission is missing a consent form or if artwork was not submitted properly. For example, for all visual arts submitted but is not attached to a firm surface, you will receive communication to pick it up and mount it on something that will keep it sturdy. Judging will occur on Monday afternoon. Please make sure to contact us if you have any concerns: reflections@vistaverdepta.org.

Please make sure to visit all of the beautiful submissions in the library next week!

Walk to School Day is coming up!

We are going to have our walking or biking to school on Thursday, October 24th!

We would like to create a sense of awareness for the importance of mental health, and the role it plays in preventing future drug abuse! We encourage participants to wear something red! Irvine Police will be present and volunteers will be there to cheer you on!
