Visit community booths and learn about how autumn is celebrated in different ways from our diverse community! The silent auction will go live on Monday, October 17th and will close on Saturday, October 22nd.

Classroom Membership Contest: Our Teachers are AWESOME!

The VVPTA Classroom Membership Contest results are in!  And the winners are:

K-5th: Miss Na: 83%, Mrs. Schneider: 81%, Ms. Farquhar: 77% 

MS Advisement: Mr. Widen: 73%

Our winning K-5th classrooms have won a glow in the dark party and lunch for their teachers! Mr. Widen’s Advisement Class will get a pizza party and get to silly string either Mr. W, Mr. Vlasic, or Mrs. Grooters! Thank you to our amazing teachers for encouraging our families to join the PTA! PTA General Assembly Meeting – Tuesday, Nov 15th

Save the date for the next Vista Verde PTA General Assembly on Tuesday, November 15th, at 6pm. The Board will share updates and discuss PTA programs, and the membership will elect a Nominating Committee that will develop the slate for the 2023 – 2024 Executive Board. Elections for the new Board will be held in February 2023. According to PTA Bylaws, one must be a PTA member for 30 days prior to November 15th to be eligible to vote on any proposals.  If you have comments and/or questions, please email Secretary@vistaverdepta.org. The PTA’s mission is to make a positive impact on every single child and their families. Becoming a member and any donations to the annual fund will help make this mission a reality. Thank you for your support!

Volley Fest Volleyball Tournament (Grades 7 & 8)

Have fun representing Vista Verde at this year’s Volley Fest volleyball tournament for boys and girls in grades 7 & 8. The tournament will be held on November 6th at the IUSD/TUSD gyms Park. The registration fee is $40 per person. Cultural Booths are back! Sign up for a cultural booth and share how you celebrate the Fall season! Share customs, traditions, music, and activities. Some ideas for a cultural booth: Dia de los Muertos (Mexico), Halloween (Canada/USA/UK), Mid-Autumn Moon Festival (China), Mehregan (Iran), Diwali (India), Sukkot (Israel). Join us on Saturday, October 22nd from 2-6pm and learn how our diverse community celebrates the fall season by visiting our Cultural booths! Join us for fun games, food trucks, concessions, and entertainment. IUSD School Board Candidates Forum (Area 2)

The League of Women Voters of OC in partnership with IUCPTA are hosting a forum to meet the three candidates running for the IUSD Area 2 trustee board seat.
