Ice Cream Social
The VV PTA & VV Foundation invite our school community to the annual Ice Cream Social on Friday August 23rd. FREE Handel’s ice cream for all students, staff and siblings. Join us on the blacktop for music, food trucks and more! New spirit wear samples will be on display. We hope to see you all there!
Fund Photos Photography Sessions
The PTA is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for you to capture beautiful family memories while supporting our school! We have partnered with Fund Photos to host a photography fundraiser throughout October and November, and we would love for you to participate. Here are the details:
Photography Sessions:
- Duration: 15 minutes
- Included: 2 digital images of your choice
- Cost: $50 (the entire amount goes directly to the school)

Matt Leinart 2nd Grade Flag Football League
We are excited to announce the tryouts for Matt Leinart 2nd Grade Fall Flag Football League. If you are in 2nd grade and have a passion for the game, we invite you to join us at our tryout next week on 8/14 at Las Lomas Park. No specific skill level is required. Tryouts will be at 1:30PM and if you have any questions please reach out to bfournier@silverpointadvisors.com.
AEFA Programs
Academic Enrichment for All (AEFA) is Vista Verde’s community for extracurricular academic enrichment. AEFA hosts parent volunteer-led academic clubs, events, olympiads, tournaments and bees at Vista Verde. These programs are open to all Vista Verde students and funded by the PTA. Reflections Art Contest
“Accepting Imperfection”
That’s the theme for the 2024-25 Reflections Art Program, which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
Reflections encourages students of all ages to:
- Unleash creative talents and be inspired
- Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork
- Experience the fun and joy of making art
- Tap into critical thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
- Receive positive recognition for their original works of art.

Meet the PTA Executive Board
The PTA is so excited for this new school year and has been working hard to plan some amazing events and programs for our school community. We hope that you will get involved and volunteer at one of our many events throughout the year. The PTA and Foundation will be co-sponsoring this year’s Ice Cream Social on August 23rd, so stop by our booths and say hello. New Spirit Wear samples will be on display.
PTA Classroom Membership Contest
Donate to the PTA and win a Pizza & Popsicle party for your students!!! The PTA Classroom Membership Contest is now under way, and the top two elementary classes along with the top two middle school classes with the highest dollar amount in donations to the annual fund will win a class party. The contest ends on August 30th, so click here to donate now!
ASB Middle School Dance
Calling all 6th – 8th grade students! The first ASB Middle School Dance of the year will be on Friday, September 13th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the MPR. Check in from 4:30 – 5:00pm. The theme is “Night at the Oscars”, so come dressed as your favorite celebrity. Semi-formal attire requested. School dress code requirements and all school rules apply. Tickets are $20 and refreshments will be provided.
