REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST

PTA Reflections Art Program Theme: I MATTER BECAUSE…”
Now in it’s 51st year, the PTA’s Reflections Art Program is going into new territory! It will now be 100% virtual! Students can finally submit their artwork virtually!
What is Reflections? The Reflections program is a place where students are given a theme, reflect on it, and then tap into their inner artist to express what the theme means to them. They can submit one piece of original artwork in one or all of the following categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, visual arts, and special artist.
This year’s theme is “I MATTER BECAUSE.” An artist statement must accompany all submissions. INTERPRETATION OUTWEIGHS TECHNICAL SKILLS and the artist statement will play a key role in judging. Submissions are due by Wednesday, October 14th, at 11:59pm. An online submission form will be coming soon. In the meantime, show us why YOU matter!
Vista Verde’s very own Mrs. Lopez shares why she matters and wants you to tell us why YOU matter! https://youtu.be/LaF9cgoC12Q
For more information about the program and how to enter, visit https://vistaverdepta.org/reflections/ or contact Lilli or Roxanne at reflections@vistaverdepta.org.

JOIN THE VISTA VERDE PTA!!!

Don’t forget to join our Vista Verde Viking PTA! http://www.vistaverdepta.org

Just $10 per membership allows you to make a difference in our children’s lives. All family members, friends, and surrounding community are welcome to join. By being a member, it gives you the opportunity to “speak up” and have your vote counted when important decisions are made.

We ask that you also please consider donating towards our annual fund with a suggested donation of $240 per student. This amount includes (1) PTA membership.  (Any additional memberships are $10 each).
We know this year is different, but through these donations, the PTA is able to provide all of our students with extra learning and counseling resources, physical education, health and enrichment programs, and many wonderful online learning applications. Please note that although we are asking for $240 per student, any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generous support! Click here to join.
