Blessings in a Backpack – October 17th, 1-4 PM

National Charity League-Irvine is organizing a curbside food drive for Blessings in a Backpack on October 17 at the Lakeview Senior Center, 20 Lake Road, Irvine 92604 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

The goal of the event is to collect 2,000 bags of food to feed over 100 schoolchildren at Washington Elementary and Lincoln Elementary in Santa Ana! Please see the flyer for a list of suggested food donations. This food drive is a wonderful way for the generous Vista Verde community to continue supporting Blessings in a Backpack.

UCI Summer Brain Camp

Vista Verde middle schoolers are invited to explore the brain this summer with UCI scientists! Students will receive a physical toolkit that will allow them to conduct experiments from home. The camp will feature lectures and seminars, workshops, virtual laboratory tours and hands-on activities that students will engage in from home!

All girls in Pre-K- 5th grade are invited to blast off to adventure at our FREE Girl Scout Launch Party!

 

Your girl will get to meet new friends, earn her first patch, grow in confidence, and build skills that’ll help her in school and beyond.
