The Orange County Department of Education has partnered with youth leaders across Orange County to present the Screens & Teens Parent workshop which will include important information, resources, and the youth perspective. Topics of discussion:

  • Screen media vs Social media
  • U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory
  • Basics of Mental Health
  • Social Media Concerns
  • Benefits of Social Media
  • Strategies for Balance

Due to scheduling conflicts and equipment availability, the Talent Show has been moved to April 30th, 2025. More information to come regarding ticket sales in the coming weeks. Dry run and dress rehearsal dates have not changed, and will be on April 7 & 8.

Founder’s Day Service Award

In honor of PTA Founder’s Day, Vista Verde PTA is recognizing the outstanding service to children in our community by awarding a National PTA Honorary Service Award to one Vista Verde volunteer and one Teacher/Administrator/Staff member.

Please look beyond our outgoing PTA officers. Recipients often work behind the scenes, quietly and efficiently serving youth to better our community.

Kids Summer Camp Expo

Come out to the Kids Summer Camp Expo at Sports Basement Fountain Valley this Sunday, March 16th, from 1–4 PM! Fit4Mom and Sports Basement are collaborating for this free event. It’s a great opportunity for families to explore top local summer camps in one place, meet camp representatives, sign up for the summer, and enjoy fun activities. Sports Basement will donate a percentage of sales back to the PTA, so don’t forget to mention Vista Verde School any time you shop at Sports Basement.

Calling All Girl Mathletes: Vista Verde Students, Join AGMT 2025!

Are you ready to combine individual math skills with team collaboration? Vista Verde students in grades 3–8, this is your chance to shine!

Event Details:

•What: All Girls Math Tournament (AGMT) – a MATHCOUNTS-style competition featuring both individual challenges and exciting team activities.
•When: Sunday, March 16, 2025

•Where: Main competition at University High School (4771 Campus Dr, Irvine, CA 92612) with satellite tournaments worldwide.

Registration Information:

•Deadline: Register by March 14, 2025 at 12 PM PT.
