Have fun representing Vista Verde at this year’s Harvest Cup for boys and girls in grades 3-8. The tournament will be held on December 6-8 at OC Great Park.

Viking Voices for Middle School (public speaking club) dates have changed for this month. The 10/16 and 10/30 dates have been cancelled and replaced with Wednesday, 10/23. The meeting will be at the usual time 1:30-2:30 pm in Mrs. Jacobs’ classroom #18. All middle school students are welcome to attend, even if this is your first visit! In partnership with Hoag Hospital, IUSD has developed the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Speaker Series. In this session, speakers will discuss the impact that excessive gaming and social media can have on children and teens, including irritability, depression and anxiety.
Parents will learn to recognize the differences between normal behaviors and potentially harmful ones and what they can do to support their children. There will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation. This is a free event (No RSVP needed) and open to the public (16+ recommended). Attached to this email is the event flyer.
