Viking Idol Audition – January 11, 2019
The Annual “Viking Idol” Talent Show is going to be on March 6th, 2019.
To audition you must turn in the signed permission form by Friday, January 11th, 2018. Permission is available at the front office.
All Vista Verde students and parents are welcome to audition for the “Viking Idol” Talent Show. Please be aware that not all auditions will be showcased in the talent show due to time constraints and variety.

- For all of our fabulous families that have donated items to our Rummage Sales, I wanted to let you know that we are not having a rummage sale this year. Going forward it will be an every other year event, so save those valuable items for next year!!
- Thank you all for your generosity in signing up for Blessings In A Backpack! There are quite a few families that sign up numerous times throughout the year and you are greatly appreciated! It has been very successful so far, however the remainder of the year still has many spots available. Enrollment Information 2019-2020
Vista Verde will accept Interest Cards from families wishing to enroll new students in K-5 grades for next year beginning on January 7, 2019. Cards will be available in the school front office. The deadline to submit a completed card is February 22, 2019 at noon.
Open Enrollment information for the 2019-20 school-year for middle and high school students interested in school choice will be sent to all 6th graders entering 7th grade and all 8th graders entering 9th grade this month from the district. IPFS – Winter Bowl 2019 – January 26 – Saturday
Come out and support your school’s team at the Winter Bowl Flag Football Tournament on Saturday, January 26 at the Orange County Great Park. The Winter Bowl is the second of three tournaments in Irvine Youth Sports Tournament of Champions benefiting IPSF. The schools with the most points at the end of the year will be awarded the coveted Champions Cup to display at their school.

IPSF – Enrichment Day Registration
Monday, February 11 is
a district-wide school holiday. If you do not have plans for your
student, we have good news! Students in Grades 2-8 are invited to spend
the holiday at IPSF Enrichment Day. The day will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4
p.m. at Creekside High School. Students may pre-register for four
classes in a variety of fun and engaging subjects. Cost is $90 per stud
ent. Online enrollment will open on January 14.

Early Dismissal – December 14 – Friday
Vista Verde Winter Break starts on December 17. Friday, December 14 (today) is an early dismissal day.
1-3rd grades: dismissed at 1:25pm
4th-8th grades: dismissed at 1:30pm.
School resumes on Monday, January 7th.
