Vista Verde annual book fair is coming up in December. Book fair runs from December 10th through December 14th.
Book fair hours:
Monday, December 10: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Tuesday, December 11: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Wednesday, December 12: 8:00am – 2:00pm
Thursday, December 13: 8:00am – 2:00pm and During Holiday Dessert: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Friday, December 14: 8:00am – 11:00am

To Our Wonderful Vista Verde Families!
Our Red Ribbon Week was a huge success and it couldn’t have happened without your support and generosity. PTA wanted to thank all Vista Verde staff, students and parents for all of your hard work in supporting our school’s Red Ribbon Week. As a school we surpassed our fundraising goal and participation at Red Ribbon week @ Ruby’s. PTA is very excited to share our schools fundraiser and Ruby’s Participation results!
Pennies for Prevention:
Last year Vista Verde raised $30.00 towards prevention education during Red Ribbon Week. This year, Vista Verde’s school goal was to raise 50 pounds worth of pennies. Our school went above and beyond our original goal and brought in a total of 474 pounds of pennies! Vista Verde will receive $474.00 dollars toward prevention education and all of this was possible because of your generosity.
Pennies for Prevention Raffle Winner:
Congratulations to this year’s Red Ribbon Week Pennies for Prevention Winner: first grader, Alesia, in Ms. Gornbein’s class. She will receive the “Choose Kind” T-shirt! PTA wanted to thank Alesia and all of our Vista Verde students for their participation in our Pennies for Prevention Fundraiser and supporting our school’s commitment to making healthy choices.
Red Ribbon Week @ Ruby’s:
An extra special thank you to all our families who made it out to our Red Ribbon Week Event at Ruby’s! It was great to see all our families together enjoying an evening out to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. The turnout was incredible and because of your support we brought in a total of $1310.00 towards participation in the Red Ribbon Week @ Ruby’s contest.

TEACHER CONTEST
A huge congratulations is in order for our amazing teachers and staff at Vista Verde. This year, we had 100%teacher participation in our PTA membership! They showed us all just how dedicated they are to supporting our school. To show them our appreciation, they’ll be getting a catered luncheon, provided by the PTA. Volunteers are still desperately needed for the game booths for Family Fun Night on Friday, October 26. We cannot run these games without your help! We need parents AND middle school students to volunteer. Please consider donating an hour of your time to make this a successful event for our children and school. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Please sign up at the following link:
Pre-purchase tickets for concessions, game booths, and teacher raffles via PayPal and skip those long lines!
Tickets to FFN activities will be online this year and you may pick up your tickets at Will Call on October 26. All games, activities, and food/drink concessions may be purchased with tickets only. Most items or games will cost between 2-5 tickets.
Price:
Concession/Game Tickets: 5 tickets for $5, 10 tickets for $10, and 25 tickets for $20.
Teacher Raffle Tickets: $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20.
In the Shopping Cart page you can specify the quantity of each item you are purchasing.
Children and families may use tickets to purchase concessions (such as hot dogs, candy, snacks), cotton candy, popcorn, drinks, baked goods from Raise the Bar. Carnival game/activity booths this year include Balloon Artists, Face Painters, Game Trucks, Carnival Games with Prizes, Stilt Walkers, DJ and more!!
Based on past experience, 25-40 tickets per child is probably enough for a fun afternoon. You will also be able to buy more tickets onsite.
What are Teacher Raffle Tickets? Our wonderful Vista Verde teachers and staff have generously donated special experiences to the lucky winners in each grade (grades K-5). A few special winners will also get to be Principal For A Day or have lunch with our Assistant Principal. Each student in K-5 will receive one free raffle ticket to enter the raffle, but buying more tickets means more chances to win! Past examples of teacher raffle prizes include a Lunch Date at Ruby’s Diner and a Book from our Kindergarten Team or Popcorn, Popsicles, and Pictionary! with our Third Grade Team. More information about teacher raffle prizes to come!
Keep your PayPal receipt. You can pick up your pre-purchased tickets at our Will Call table on October 26 starting at 3:15 PM. The event is from 3:30-6:30PM.
