Reflections Art Contest Winners

Congratulations to our Reflections winners! Thank you to all 48 students who participated. Please click here for the full list of winners!

For the very first time in VVPTA history, we are holding a Reflections awards ceremony! Due to the pandemic, we are still following Covid-19 safety guidelines and will provide the students with a drive through celebration this Friday, November 12th, from 3:45-4:15pm. We will pass out ribbons and awards. See details on the flyer. If you are unable to make it on Friday, please contact us directly and we can make arrangements for an alternate pickup date.

In honor of all of our participants we would like to celebrate our record setting participation with an art supplies gift basket drawing!  All names will be placed in a bowl and Mr. Vlasic will randomly pick a winner. The winner can pick up their gift basket at Friday’s drive through celebration.

PTA Membership Classroom Contest Winners

Big congratulations to Mrs. Widen, Mrs. Madden & Ms. Gornbein whose classrooms had the highest percentage of PTA members at the end of our 30-day membership contest! Wow, are we on a great path to memberships this year! Thank you, parents, teachers, friends and family for your support. We are happy to report over 200 memberships this year (about 25% of the school!). Remember you can STILL join at any time! Make sure to visit us at our next GA meeting on November 30th at 9am for more updates!

2023-24 National PTA Reflections Theme Search

The 2023-2024 theme search is happening now! All entries must be submitted by November 1, 2021.

Click here to fill out the digital theme search form, or download this document and submit to reflections@capta.org or mail to California State PTA, 2327 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

California theme idea winners will be forwarded to National PTA for consideration. The student who submits the winning entry will receive a $100 prize.

The Vista Verde PTA Reflections team would like to thank all students who submitted an entry to this year’s PTA Reflections Art program! Every year, students are challenged to submit artwork with a particular theme in mind. This year’s theme is: I WILL CHANGE THE WORLD BY…We’d like to send a special thank you to VV students and Reflections participants, Bella, Jay, and Aanya, who encouraged students to give it a try!  Next up, submissions will be judged anonymously by professional experts in each category. All first-place winners will then move on to the Irvine Council, and we will celebrate all Vikings who participated with a virtual gallery and a special awards ceremony. Vista Verde winners will be announced by the end of this month and Irvine Council winners by early December.

PTA Membership Classroom Contest – Last Week!!

Please consider joining our Vista Verde PTA. We all reap the benefit of being a Vista Verde Viking. Membership is open to all members of our community, parents, teachers, grandparents, care givers, and friends. Consider sponsoring one of your teachers for the PTA too – and let’s come together as a community and support the Vista Verde PTA.

Our traditional annual class competition will still take place from September 15 –  October 15. Top three classes with most percentage of memberships by October 15th will win a prize!
