Math competitions will resume next Weds 10/23/2019 in Mrs. Jacobs’ classroom #18 7:45-8:20AM.
We will be offering AreteLabs Math Madness this year. It is an online math competition for 3-8th graders.
Participants will compete against other schools online. There will be a round every Wednesday morning school is in session between 10/23/19 and 12/11/19 for a total of 7 rounds. We will have Chromebooks for students to use for this. If you are interested, please sign up here before 10/19/2019.
The FFN Silent Auction will open up online on Monday, October 21st. You can check out all the fabulous prizes as well as view all the Class Baskets. Instructions on how to Register are attached or you can find them online at Family Fun Night.
Family Fun Night is on Friday, October 25th but you can pre-purchase tickets now for concessions and games via PayPal and skip the lines.

Come by the Rubik’s Cube Booth for some fun timed challenges. Stop by the booth at around 4:30pm to register for your event or just come by to watch the friendly competition. The speed rounds will begin at 5pm.
Family Fun Night is the PTA’s biggest community and fundraising event of the year. Please consider volunteering for this fabulous event. There are several volunteer opportunities available. Please sign up online at FFN Volunteers. Thank you for your support.

Red Ribbon Week is Oct 21 to Oct 25. It is a drug-prevention campaign celebrated nationwide. We have a variety of Spirit Wear days to help show our support for RRW. Plus, our annual “Walk/Bike/Scoot to School Day” is on Wednesday, October 23rd. See attached flyer for all the details.
Have fun representing Vista Verde at this year’s Harvest Cup for boys and girls in grades 3-8. The tournament will be held on December 6-8 at OC Great Park.

Viking Voices for Middle School (public speaking club) dates have changed for this month. The 10/16 and 10/30 dates have been cancelled and replaced with Wednesday, 10/23. The meeting will be at the usual time 1:30-2:30 pm in Mrs. Jacobs’ classroom #18. All middle school students are welcome to attend, even if this is your first visit!
