PTA Membership Classroom Contest
Please consider joining our Vista Verde PTA. We all reap the benefit of being a Vista Verde Viking. Membership is open to all members of our community, parents, teachers, grandparents, care givers, and friends. Consider sponsoring one of your teachers for the PTA too – and let’s come together as a community and support the Vista Verde PTA.
Our traditional annual class competition will still take place from September 15 – October 15. Top three classes with most percentage of memberships by October 15th will win a prize!

2023-2024 National PTA Reflections Theme Search
The 2023-2024 theme search will start on September 1, 2021. All entries must be submitted by November 1, 2021.

California theme idea winners will be forwarded to National PTA for consideration. The student who submits the winning entry will receive a $100 prize.

Middle School Science Olympiad
Do you love science? Are you interested in competing on a team in multiple science disciplines against other California middle schools?
We have a few seats left on the Vista Verde Science Olympiad team 2022.
- VV Students Gr 6-8
- Each student assigned 3-4 science topics
- Weekly study through Feb/March
- Interest in advanced science and engineering
- Self starter
- Parent volunteering

Reflections Art Contest
“I Will Change the World By…”
That’s the theme for the 2021-22 Reflections Art Program, which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
Reflections encourages students of all ages to:
- Unleash creative talentsand be inspired
- Express themselvesimaginatively in their artwork
- Experience the fun and joyof making art
- Tap into critical thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
- Receive positive recognitionfor their original works of art.

Membership in PTA provides the opportunity to participate in the National PTA Reflections program. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
