Looking for activities to keep your child engaged and learning while having fun after the school day? ACE classes at Vista Verde are back this Fall! The next session of IPSF’s ACE program is coming soon, offering our students hands-on opportunities to explore interests and discover new passions. Classes are held in-person, directly after school on our campus beginning the week of 10/17. For more information on classes offered, please see the flyer here. Registration opens 9/26/22 – 10/11/22.
For over 50 years, the National PTA Reflections arts program has furthered the goals of the program founder, Mary Lou Anderson. Reflections has helped millions of students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life. The 2022 theme is SHOW YOUR VOICE! This year, we are offering it in three categories: Literature, Photography, and Visual Arts. Students can submit 1 entry in each category. Submit entries digitally using this form. Deadline to submit entries is October 13, 2022. For questions, please contact Cynthia Zhang at reflections@vistaverdepta.org.

The VVPTA is made up of an Executive Board and consists of several committees. We are currently looking to fill the following positions: VP of Membership and an Audit Committee Member to help out our amazing auditor, Astha Ghai. If you are interested in either of these positions, please contact Lilli LaBuen at President@vistaverdepta.org. Volunteers are truly the heart of the community and we are grateful for any time you can give. Please fill out the Volunteer Opportunities form here if you’d like to help out with future events.
Save the date for the next Vista Verde PTA General Assembly on Tuesday, November 15th, at 6pm. The Board will share updates and discuss PTA programs, and the membership will elect a Nominating Committee that will develop the slate for the 2023 – 2024 Executive Board. Elections for the new Board will be held in February 2023. According to PTA Bylaws, one must be a PTA member for 30 days prior to November 15th to be eligible to vote on any proposals.
