Math Madness Team Event
Calling All Vista Verde Mathletes!
Math Madness is an exciting online, team-based math competition open to 3rd-8th grade students. This event is part of the Vista Verde AEFA program and is fully sponsored by the Vista Verde PTA. Vista Verde will have one elementary team and one middle school team competing. Your student will compete weekly against teams from across the country in a head-to-head, single-elimination bracket format, similar to March Madness in basketball!
- Students will compete online (from home) on Mondays from 4:00-4:30 PM.
- Practice rounds begin on September 23rd, with the first official competitive round starting on October 14th.
- Championship week will be the week of December 9th. There will be no competition during Thanksgiving week.
Answer sheets are provided for self review/self study after each match, as advanced and novel math concepts are embedded throughout the tournament. Visit https://www.aretelabs.com/math-madness

Volley Fest Volleyball Tournament

“Accepting Imperfection” is the theme for the 2024-2025 Reflections Art Contest. We look forward to receiving your child’s creative entries and celebrating their talent through Reflections in six categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Dance Choreography, Music Composition, and Film Production.
All submissions must be turned in to the front office by October 18th. Each student may submit one entry per category, but can enter as many categories as they like.

OC Families in Action 2024 Youth Speech Contest
Final Call for Entries! The OC Families in Action 2024 Youth Speech Contest closes on September 13th. The theme for this year’s contest is “My Voice Matters.” Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of community leaders. Select winners may have the opportunity to perform on stage at the 22nd annual Irvine Global Festival on October 5, 2024. Must be an Orange County resident and student.
