Calling all Vikings!!! It’s time to showcase your talent and audition for the Annual Vista Verde’s Got Talent show, to be held on April 9, 2025. Gather your friends and have some fun. Group acts are highly encouraged! If you would like to audition, completed Google forms must be submitted by Friday, February 12, 2025. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Auditions will be held on Monday, February 24th from 3:00-5:00pm, and Wednesday, February 26th from 2:00-4:00pm. Sign up here!

 

JCCOC Youth After School Pickleball Program

Calling all 1st to 5th graders! The JCC is offering an exciting after school Pickleball program that is the perfect opportunity for kids to learn, play, and develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

What to expect:

  • Expert Instruction
  • Skill-Building Drills
  • Friendly Matches
  • Team Challenges

When: Starts on February 3rd

1st – 3rd Grade:

  • Mondays: 3:45pm – 4:45pm
  • Wednesdays: 2:00pm – 3:00pm

4th – 5th Grade:

  • Tuesdays: 3:45pm – 4:45pm
  • Wednesdays: 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Where: JCC OC Outdoor Pickleball Courts

Limited to 6 participants per class, and paddles and balls will be provided. $120/month for one class per week, or $200/month for two classes per week. Email noahs@jccoc.org for more information and to sign up.

SATURDAY, MAY 3 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

For the 36th year, 1,400 4th – 8th grade Irvine Unified School District athletes will once again show their spirit for the 2025 Irvine Children’s Fund track and field fundraising event for all families to enjoy as the athletes run and jump to raise money for before and after school child care.

ALL 4TH – 8TH GRADE ATHLETES MUST ATTEND AN IRVINE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOOL

ENTRY FEE: $45 per athlete before March 1st / $55 after March 1st*
Registration includes an Irvine Junior Games T-shirt, participation in the Games and pre-event track & field training clinic at Irvine Stadium.

Science Olympiad-Elementary: A Fun and Educational Extracurricular Activity!

Science Olympiad is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing K-12 science education, fostering a love for science, and recognizing outstanding academic achievement. This engaging program offers a hands-on approach to learning that promotes teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.

Who Can Compete?

Students in Grades 4 to 6 at Vista Verde who have an interest in advanced science and engineering are encouraged to join!

Team Commitments:

  • Each student will be assigned up to three science events.
  • Teamwork with fellow VV students is required.
  • Weekly independent study is essential.
  • Parent volunteering/coaching is required for participation.
  • Attendance at the OC Regional Tournament on May 3, 2025, is mandatory. Please do not enroll if you cannot commit to being there!
