Calling All Math Enthusiasts!

Vista Verde students, get ready to showcase your math skills!MathCounts is a full-day math contest for middle school students in grades 6–8. It will be held at UCI on February 15, 2024. The contest includes Sprint, Target, Team, and Countdown math rounds—a perfect challenge for math lovers! To help participants prepare, online training sessions will be hosted before the event.

Qualifying Pre-Test

Date: Monday, January 13 at 3:00 PM
Location: Mrs. Jones’s Classroom

How to Participate:
Complete the MathCounts Tryouts Sign-up Sheet  by January 10 to secure your spot.

For Grades 4–5:

Elementary students with a strong passion for mathematics are encouraged to participate in this in-person pre-test. This is a great opportunity to qualify for other exciting VV Math Club events! For more information about math programs visit: AEFA – Vista Verde PTA

Count down to Winter break and join in on some festive fun! ASB Spirit Week dress up days are December 16-20, so get your outfits ready! Let’s finish off the last week of 2024 with some silly fun!

Monday: Throwback Day – dress in your favorite 70s outfits
Tuesday: Western Winter – giddy up and show off your best western wear
Wednesday: Tourist Day – show off those silly tourist outfits
Thursday: Ugly Sweater Day – wear your festive ugly holiday sweaters
Friday: Pajama Day – roll out of bed and come in your comfy PJs
