Congratulations to our Reflections Winners

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the National PTA’s Reflections Art Program! Since 1969, the PTA has encouraged children from K-High School to tap into their inner artist! This year’s theme is, “LOOK WITHIN.” Students are encouraged to reflect on the theme and create art in one or all of the 6 categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, visual arts, and special artist.

This year, we had submissions to four categories. We received our very first dance choreography submissions! Judging is based on 3 criteria: Interpretation, Creativity, and Technique. Interpretation of the theme is the key factor that is judge over the two.

The Vista Verde Reflections judges have voted! All 1st Place winners will move up to the Irvine PTA Council level. If they move on, the next level will be PTA District, then PTA Regional, State, and then National! Make sure you stop by the library to check out all of the submissions, as well as on social media and the PTA website! Congratulations, Vista Verde Vikings! Thank you for sharing your beautiful art with us! Go Vikings! A special thanks to the Reflections team: Susanne Stark, Beatta Bosworth, Anny Choe, Lilli LaBuen and to the wonderful staff: Mrs. Hagen, Mrs. Truffa, Mrs. Scofield, Mrs. Peterson, and Mrs. Albinson!
