JCCOC Youth Pickleball Academy – March 2025
Join the JCCOC Youth Pickleball Academy this March! Designed for 1st–5th graders of all skill levels, this after-school program offers a fun and engaging environment where kids can learn, play, and develop their pickleball skills. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to improve, our experienced coaches provide personalized instruction covering serves, volleys, dinks, footwork, and court positioning. Through skill-building drills, friendly matches, and exciting team challenges, participants will enhance their coordination, strategy, and sportsmanship while fostering a love for the game.
The program runs for four weeks, with separate class times for 1st–3rd graders and 4th–5th graders, taking place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Each session is limited to six participants to ensure quality instruction. Classes will be held on the JCCOC outdoor pickleball courts, and all necessary equipment, including paddles and balls, will be provided—though players are welcome to bring their own. The cost is $120 per month for one class per week or $200 per month for two classes per week.
Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up soon! If you have any questions or know someone who may be interested, feel free to reach out to the JCCOC Athletics Manager, Noah Simon at noahs@jccoc.org. We look forward to seeing your child on the courts!
Huntsmen Lacrosse Youth Training Camp
Uni High School will be running a youth lacrosse training program, through the end of March, with the hope of entering teams into tournaments during this upcoming summer season. This opportunity would be through their club program, Huntsmen Lacrosse Club, and is open to boys and girls that are in 2nd-8th grade. The goal and mission is to provide opportunities for younger students to learn and experience something new to them through the game of lacrosse. This is a great opportunity for students and their families to build a strong relationship with other families throughout Irvine and help bring the community together. The club is run by Coach Nick Henry, Assistant Coach at Uni High School. For more information, please visit www.huntsmenlax.com or send an email to: huntsmenlax@gmail.com
