Friendship Program HerTruSelf
Hello Parents,
We’re excited to share a new 5-week Helping Girls Handle Friendship Challenges With Confidence program for girls in 1st–5th grade, led by Coach Howard.
This program is designed to help girls build healthy friendships, find their voice, and feel more confident when friendship challenges arise.
Friendships can have a big influence on a girl’s confidence. Learning how to handle exclusion, disagreements, boundaries, peer pressure, and changing friendships gives girls tools they can carry with them far beyond the classroom.
During this interactive program, girls will participate in real-life friendship scenarios, role-play, games, group activities, and discussions designed to strengthen their friendship skills.
Throughout the five weeks, girls will learn how to:
Recognize healthy and unhealthy friendship behaviors
Speak up and use their voice with confidence
Handle exclusion, cliques, and mean girl behavior
Set healthy boundaries in friendships
Work through disagreements and big feelings
Know when to solve a problem, take space, or ask an adult for help
Build friendships without losing who they are
This is not a sit-and-listen class. Girls will have opportunities to practice what to say and what to do in situations they may actually experience at school, during recess, in friend groups, and outside of school.
Registration will be open from August 25th through September 1st.
