Astronomy Night – November 2nd – Saturday

University High School’s Astronomy Club, in partnership with other high school’s clubs, will be hosting an Astronomy Night on Saturday, November 2, 2019. The event will occur from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the UHS MPR.

Astronomers from UCI and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) will speak about space-related topics. In addition, several telescopes will be available for observing the moon and other celestial bodies.

Finally, a collection of activities (including building constellations with toothpicks and marshmallows and trivia) will be available.

FFN Silent Auction – Now Open!

The FFN Silent Auction is now open! You can check out all the fabulous prizes as well as view all the Class Baskets. Instructions on how to Register are attached or you can find them online at Family Fun Night.

Rubik’s Cube Challenge- At Family Fun Night

Come by the Rubik’s Cube Booth for some fun timed challenges.  Stop by the booth at around 4:30pm to register for your event or just come by to watch the friendly competition.  The speed rounds will begin at 5pm.

Gaming, Social Media and Mental Wellness Presentation – October 23 – Wednesday

In partnership with Hoag Hospital, IUSD has developed the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Speaker Series. In this session, speakers will discuss the impact that excessive gaming and social media can have on children and teens, including irritability, depression and anxiety.

Parents will learn to recognize the differences between normal behaviors and potentially harmful ones and what they can do to support their children.  There will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation.  This is a free event (No RSVP needed) and open to the public (16+ recommended).  Attached to this email is the event flyer.
